Find out how to enter a carnival

STEPS TO TAKE TO ENTER A CARNIVAL

Most members find the first couple of times they enter a carnival a little confusing.  Please don’t hesitate to ask someone for help …. I certainly had to.

STEP 1:

Look at the event nomination schedule on this site or go to the Swim SA Event Calendar and decide on the Carnival and events you want to enter.

Note: Entries must be lodged with our club two weeks before event closing date.

 

STEP 2: Some events have qualifying times – there are differnet qualifying times for different competitions – check to ensure you meet qualifying times.

STEP 3: Calculate your event entry/nomination fee: For Swim SA events fees can be found by clicking here –> Fees

For EDASA meets $7 is paid on the day.

For all other club run events you can check by clicking on th event link on the Swim SA Calendar.

The total fee is the number of events you are entering X event fee.

Example: If you are entering 4 evens and the event fee is $7:50 the total amount for payment is $30.

 

STEP 4: Pay you nomination fee.

All event fees for Onkaparinga members are paid through the club.

Transfer the amount due to the the clubs bank account as follows:

Remember: Include your surname and the meet e.g. smith Starplex.  Remember to print a receipt to accompany the entries you give to the nominations officers.  They cannot accept your entries without this as they do not have access to the account to check payments.

 

STEP 5: Complete your nomination form and send to Zac

Complete the form and send to Zac Elliot by email: zac-elliott@hotmail.com

Give Zac details of payment – with a copy of the bank receipt.

For all club meets the nomination form must be used. This form is attached below for your convenience. Entries must be submitted to the nominations officers at least two weeks prior to the closing date of the meet.

NOTE: Add a read/receive request with any entries that you email Zac.  Doing this will save Zac time having to reply to each e-mail sent and we will still know that he has received our entries. It is easy to do – just Google it to find out how.

 

STEP 6: Go to the envet on the day and have fun

 


Note: Once your entries have been entered onto the computer system, a print out will be given to Pat and in summer one will be put on the notice board at the woodside outdoor pool.  It is the responsibility of the swimmers to check their entries.
