The Onkaparinga Swimming Club welcomes you to our website. We believe we must continually attempt to improve services we provide to our members and visitors to our site. Centered in the Adelaide Hills town of Woodside our membership extends from the near metropolitan suburbs of Stirling and Aldgate to the west and east beyond Lobethal and Birdwood. The Onkaparinga Swimming Club caters for all ages and categories of membership and includes programs specifically targeted to masters (over 18 years) swimmers and swimmers with a disability.

The Swimming Club recognises the magnificent contribution offered by the various sponsors of the club. Without this sponsorship support the swimming club could not hope to provide the services it currently offers. How We Started

Onkaparinga Swimming Club – Adelaide Hills

The Onkaparinga Swimming Club was formed in 1990 by a band of dedicated community members. Twenty years later it continues to grow and strengthen with the successful swimming program on offer to members of the Club.  Pat Wheeler is the Head Coach and has current qualifications with silver licence and OWS & SWD accreditation.  Pat is assisted by a talented group of young coaches with green and bronze coaching certifications.
The Club has been recognised for outstanding success and development over the last 15 years. Swimming SA has awarded the Onkaparinga Swimming Club the Swimming Club of the Year award for South Australia in 2002, 2004 and 2006. At the annual Country Championships the Onkaparinga Swimming Club has been the Premier Club of the Meet winning the Advertiser Shield consecutively from 2002 through to 2018 and coming 2nd in 2019 before winning again in 2020.
Onkaparinga continues to be successful at this and other Championship events.
